I've never really been tempted to join Facebook or Friends Reunited or similar sites so I wasn't surprised to see I don't have a defined personal brand on the web.
When I googled my name I found there are 5 other people who have the same name. There was a piece I'd written about the development of the repository for London Links, mention of some records I've entered into the repository, my address and also the fact I'd sponsored one of my son's teachers who ran in the London Marathon.
I'm not sure how much personal information I want to put out about myself but the alternative is this rather odd mish mash. I think there is definitely scope to have a more defined presence in terms of the repository.

Replying to comments
I agree that it's very odd not being able to reply to comments on blogger. I'm going to have a go at amending the set up as suggested on Helen's 23 things but it's a shame this isn't a basic part of the package.

Reasons for doing the course
Hello,
I'm completely new to blogging and the course seemed to be a good way to learn more. I want to find out if it's a useful tool to promote our Open Access Repository.
There are always so many new things to learn so the course is a means of focusing on some specific topics and gaining some new practical skills.
